Thanks SquarePix, I'm always in envy of the value and color relationships you manage.

And most people here, for that matter.

What do you guys define the word "speedpainting" as? You seem to fail to grasp the concept of speed. Your images are so well made that they seem to have been made over a period of weeks, rather than in a short period...

Oyvind> it takes practice. You cannot begin the very first day, and create something like craig mullin's work. You work up to it. Eventual buildup. Start by doing speedpaintings from a lot of references. Try to do at least one a day. ALong with that, try to do 'value speedpaintings' which are just black and white.
Don't take too long and try not to over-detail as it is supposed to be a speedpainting. I can tell you that the people in this thread, myself included, only take from around 30 mins to 2 hours generally for a speedpainting. they don't take weeks Smile. I hope my answer helped..

Sorry, I've been working hard traditionally with oils, and as my camera is broken, I can't post any pics... Maybe I'll take a pic from my cell Razz.

Just wanted to give my kudos to all of you.
kinnas, igino, squarepixel, capt. fred, rasseltassel(what are you talking about? i love the 2nd one!),vyle,m@,petri j, and so many others! keep it up
