New render of a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 428 Super CobraJet. 3D model created and rendered with Alias Maya 6.5. This classic antique muscle cars is my dream hot rod/muscle car. I created this model and image as a lesson in modeling and rendering in Alias Maya. High poly modeling with a three image plane environment and a few gabage cans, some grass in the cracks of the concrete sidewallks and sign posts as props.

this is awesome! i love the textures on it; for once it doesn't just look like a smooth model instead of a rugged car.
keep it up |

Nice modeling, but are the tires supposed to be that shiny? Wrong material? _________________ Derelict Studios|Godwin's Space |

the cobblestone road is reflecting the car too, should fix that and the concrete texture is very cg like. |

Yeah, i guess its overall too shiny. Especially the chrome-parts would "pop out" in reality, but here its hard to distinguish between chrome and paintwork. And in contrast to modern cars, those old muscle-cars had a way more "matt" paint.
And well, i know the car is where you have focused your attention on, but the sidewalk and the street could need a bit more, too. The sidewalk has a real ugly texture and the cobblestonetexturephoto could be aligned parallel to the sidewalk instead of parallel to the image-border and have some bumpmap on it.
Anyway, good work, keep it up! _________________ Lars Gtze
