sup, Corey and welcome to the forum.
First off, great coloring. At your age, you seem to have an advance understanding color theory and form lighting. There's nice color variation all throughout the picture most 28 year olds wouldn't think about.
Crits:
Although the composition works ok, it could be a bit more dynamic and less flat and conventional.
By more dynamic and less flat, I mean there really isn't a true spatial relationship established between the monster and the hero. There should be something giving us the third dimension. Like his cape swooping into the FG. Or, smoke in the middle ground (MG), and Monster rising in 3-pt perspective in the BG.
By conventional I mean we ALL have drawn this picture. And, that's not a bad thing...becuz you've lit it well and it still adds and maintains drama. What will set it apart is something no one has seen before?
...that lies in your design/drawing of the creature.
The creature design is fine, but there's drawing issues that are holding it back. The hands and arms are too small which makes them not push far enuff into perspective to make him appear to be the foreboding creature the lighting has led us to believe.
Also, POSTURE. Is the creature "attacking" or "about to attack?"
No matter which stance you choose, determining where the "true horizon" is on the picture will help solve the drawing problems. All things will lead back to it.
All in all you obviously have your own style...which is a plus and you've got drawing skills. We all battle and continue to battle with perspective...so that's just pencil/wacom mileage.
And on that note...the only thing left to do now is...
GO MAKE MORE COOL PICTURES AND POST!!

Good work. Nice colors and moods.
Push your perspectives a bit more, it will give more punch to your images.
