| I talked to an animator, also a friend of Dave Mckean's, the other day. And i saw his new demo reel, it was pure inspiration. Haven't seen his film yet, but i think it is on the schedule of London Film Festival. It's always a joy to look at his sense of using camera and capturing the subtle psychological activities of characters, pretty amazing. |

yeah - great article. he's long been an inspiration for me (Arkum Asylum especially), and he's obviously a smart guy as well. an animator at the postprod i work at had just come off the MirrorMask and he said they were just making it up as they went along and flying by the feet of his pants. hard work (apparently everyone involved took on two or three roles), but he said he enjoyed it. i'm looking forward to seeing MirrorMask v. much:)
