Hi im new here...
I want you to criticize my last works...
I'm still learning how to paint, so every advice are very advisable.
Oh and sorry for that incomprehensible text on the last sketch.
Thanks |

Hello and Welcome !
Your work seems very promising. I think you could improve your pictures
by bringing bigger tone scale. For example try to desaturate bird picture and play with values so there is more depth and bird is more separated from background. Maybe adding more white on the right top side of background touching the bird.
Theory says that its good to have one dominant value and smaller parts of the picture with contrasting value. It looks like your values are equaly distributed on whole picture. try adding value contrast and color contrast to the focus poit which should be the bird. The yelow and white dabs in the top left corner drag eye away from center.
One more idea, you should beter market your topics, next time try somethig like: "Sexy Kitty" instead of "Simple Sketches" It will bring more visitors and replies
BTW: Yelow/Orange Kitty at the top is my favourite _________________ Cheers

a very big thumbs up...the second cat is the best mainly because of the warm analogous colors you have...you gave it like a system of lighting unlike the bird or the last cat...you have a good confident stroke which is good for this type of art...i think youll fit right in....hahaha "sexy kitten"....right on _________________ www.andresguzman.com
