Hey, I am in dire need of help in creating a somewhat convincing cast shadow from Pyramid Head's pose. His pose is too complex for me to cast properly, which is strange, considering I DREW IT. Sadly, I suck at perspective and cannot manage. What I am looking for is a single red spotlight being cast upon P-Head, preferrably in an arrangement that would compliment the composition. Actually, ANY cast shadow that looks convincing would do, please help. I have a deadline for this project and am at an artistic wall at this point.
If anyone could do a quick speedpainting that you think would help me out, PLEASE DO.
The floor and various other objects have not been drawn in BTW. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! |

I am referring to the guy who has a Pyramid for a head, the third figure. I just need someone to do a quick, convincing shadow that I could examine and get my head working again. He is lit from a spotlight and the lighting on his figure would help the placement if someone decides to help. Someone on another forum was confused that he was in a, "void," and that there was no need for a shadow in a void. Like I said, I haven't drawn the floor yet. |

Well, the guy on the other forum was right... it's kinda hard to draw a shadow on something that doesn't exist.
do you want a cast shadow on the floor, wall or both(some of it on the floor, and wall) ? you need to be more specific in order for people to help you..
think of the "pyramid guy" in terms of geometrically simple objects, and try to "build" the shadow. |

well you can do a quick shape of the existing guy doing the breakdance which will give you an idea on what the cast-shadow will look like. Mine is a bit sketchy and I had to boost the brightness to see what was there, but, I hope it helps.
ok now I really gotta go to the store, hmm I always get caught up in internet stuff.
keep it up gammon

Hmm, hmm. Thanks for taking some time apart Matthew! Someone suggested this in another forum, but seeing this does give me ideas. |
