Thanks for posting. I like the surley expression on his face. That said if I may offer a couple of crits... the background is very busy with strokes/texture especially compared to the beard which IMHO could use more. Perhaps a stronger lighting setup would be good as well. He looks dimensional in the nose and eyes but a little flat everywhere else.

appreciate the comment. i do agree about the flatness of the rest of the image. i was trying to keep the focus centered on the face and i thought that too much detail may take away from this.
