Here is a concept of an infantry soldier from a near future:

well rendered ,but a concept for future infantry?
How does the rifle work? What is the armor made of and how can our hero there bear to haul it around? Where can he store ammo, batteries, communication gear, water, and everything else (but the kitchen sink) that modern day infantry seem to get stuck with? Eye protection? Unit patches and identification?
Perhaps also research camoflage, and the direction it's going; the United States Army is in the first stages of instituting a new uniform, the ACU (Advanced Combat Uniform). Also look to the current Marine Corps "digital" camo design (MARPAT) and Canadian camo (CADPAT) respectively.
I know that perhaps you arn't basing this upon "real world" application, but learning doesn't hurt. Research and flesh your designs out thoroughly, and your image will improve along with your knowledge. |
