Another forest study, so cred to the photographer. If anyone cares to see the original, I'll track it down, but I'm having a hard time finding it right now.

...And I'll take this oppurtunity to jump on the Pringle worship band wagon. I've been saving everything you do lately; some great work that.

Hey Fred and Exon, thanks. That means something coming from you guys, and really, most people at sijun, as I respect the lot of you.

Trying to cut my time down, but the quality has suffered. Another study from ref.

hey all

I'm a sophomore printmaker at the Kansas City Art Institute; posted a couple times before.

First attempt at speed paint: barf.

Being in printmaking, I've been looking at more limited pallete work (woodcuts, letterpress, etc.) and gotten in the habit of keeping the number of colors countable on one hand. Result from the same lines:

Something that has a lot of potential is using photoshop to create imagery, then doing a phototransfer to a silkscreen, etc to create prints of work (without the confines of a printer). This obviously has advantages and disadvantages. Also, playing with the idea of doing offset lithography printing also, which resulted in this image which would be cmyk ready (halftones);

close up
It isn't actual halftone right now; i skipped the magenta and yellow, because the effect gets the point across on screen.

Love everyone's work! Spooge, I actually gave a little presentation on you recently because of your show featuring digital prints. There's a whole lot of speculation in printmaking (naturally) of anything digitally printed, but I think there's room for change.
