Thanks everybody!
Francis: wonderful drawings. I really love your recent stuff. keep up the good work.
This one was inspired by one of Pringle's images.
I actually wanted to make a finished pice.
It turned out bad. Values, composition, I dunno, it's a mess.
nothing else too share. it's not a girlie, at least : ) (- ref for the car)

Thanks all you guys, glad you are liking these. Been a while since I tried different analog rendering stuff. Last few years its been pencil then photoshop, or just straight into photoshop.
I like the watercolor watmough, did you say that piece is from work? What do you do?
LOL @ Misc! Tepox that looks like something Frost (Danny Oros) would do, funny stuff.
Nothing TOO original here, just messing around with markers here at work...

heres some jade empire inspired quickies. I don't usually do fan art but thought these would be a fun way to experiment with my new wacom and painter.
sorry for posting so many at once, I haven't been here in a while

Heysoos, J.E. must be pretty cool to warrent all that fan art. Maybe I should check it out. Btw, those paintings are really nice. I like how particular areas seem to pop really well and then the rest blends into a fury of brush strokes. That elephant is cool, and the blood from that chicks sword is ultra sweet. Nice style mate, sorry to jock you.
Tepox, that is rad!
NE-way, more garbage from me. I am blown away by eastern/Japanese art, mainly from the ukiyo-e. Those artists were true masters of drawing!!!!
This is my own creation inspired by the japanese master Hokusai:

Heysoos, I did a little bit of work for Jade Empire so totally recognized that. very rad paintings. have you sent them in? cause if not i'd love to show these to ryan swanson (lead character artist on jade, the guy who designed most of these figures) _________________ matt - rhodes |

I dunno either, but he's really cool Weslouie!
Hey Cicinimo, I love that sketch! Your style has solidified over the last year and is really enjoyable. I'm gonna check out that book you mentioned. I just bought a Japanese mythology book and have been reading through it.... totally cool stuff.
Sorry I'm a dweeb for not posting art. I'll post two on my nxt. |
