Not sure ... what is allowed here? I tried to think about the structure at least.
They are all done from reference photos ... do they qualify?

And Matthew ... please keep posting here!

Omi-kun: I like that lifedrawing
annisahmad: Wow, you are active and you are improving fast.
Seth1: Good work on the hand studies.

Twitch: I like those garden studies
RasselTassel:Wow, very unique style, post more!
Retro: Good work, drawing from life is very good.

Some older stuff to keep this thread going:

Pencil is definitely easier, but don't like the two/three steps between paper and digital. Did this in Word (of all places), which is a not bad alternative. First ever guy-with-a-gun; I've done females with guns [sheepish grin]...

Another scribble, and I just *had* to work out that pose (ran out of steam on the values/rendering - oh well).

durgldeep: Cool stuff! Keep going.
Guess the legs in the latest don't look right somehow.
I guess there is some foreshortening going on because the close leg is pointing towards the viewer slightly?
Maybe a strict side view would be better.
The legs would look less massive when you compare them with the torso then.
Or maybe it would work if the foot did point towards the viewer more?

buzzz3d: Your's are very inspiring. I want to have as much control when I draw as you have.
I try to get the proportions right while I draw. I ignore pretty much everything else.
So I hardly erase.
Structure comes after that. Line quality doesn't even play a role yet.
There are still a lot of obvious mistakes ... but thanks.

IDrawGirls, thanks for your thoughts/encouragement; you've spotted a lot of things that show the latest one is just 'eyeballed' and a little or a lot beyond my understanding; since it's kinda out of place here anyhow, I'll leave any improvements (if any) for another thread. Smile

IdrawGirls: Thanks! Good update, I like the perspective on the 2 girls in the middle (top and bottom)

Durgldeep: Didn't even know it was possible to draw in Word.
Like your continous lines.

StylesDavis: Thanks man! Hope you update soon again, like your drawings on page 1 very much. Are they from life?

Seth1 : Thanks for the chin-advice, hope I'll do better in the future.
Good linework on your latest though the hatching is a bit random.

Draw to post, some proportion-errors in this one:

hey thx guys.. and nice going with the thread

durgleep: sure u got the guts! =).. just try it..you dont have to show it to anyone if it gets bad... i draw all sorts of shit all the time Wink and try not to get yourself caught up in details and in whats "wrong and right".. dont waste time on erasing either.. just move on when u fail, and dont lean back when u suceed. ..and most importantly, dont listen to anyone including myself because everyones wrong and there is no right ;P

big up poster buzz3d! ..looks cool.. i dont think u need using references though.. i see u got the strength pulling some good shit of.. instead of refs, train up your visual memory.. keep going man =)

capt.fred: hehe that would be something Wink.. nah i got the fortune not having to worry about money right now.. i still live at home, im 20 so.. its cool. .. thinking about freelancing to the summer though

ive mostly been drawing while traveling to/from school lately.. so.. alot of mess not worthy scanning

and if there's any interest.. i colored the first drawing in my earlier post.. dunno if i like it :/ ..submitted it for expose3 btw.. aint missing the chance getting something for free to read in the toilet =) linku: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v247/RasselTassel/avianparanoiasmallres.jpg .. and since its now a painting.. and this is a drawing-thread.. just look and ignore it Wink

buzzz3d: "Didn't even know it was possible to draw in Word.

Word will now do (for 'free') close to what illustrator/micrografx
designer/coreldraw would do years ago...though still helps to know what
you're doing, which is not the case below ("bezier" points - been seen
here already):

"Like your continous lines."

have only tried that a couple times (see "guts"), the ones above are
with a mouse = extra wild...this one is after a mag ad (on paper)...

re your latest, what can I say? Smile

RasselTassel: Thanks, I kinda knew a lot of that in 'theory' but
always helps to hear it again - and now I'll backpedal on "still helps
to know what you're doing" - hehe. Smile

buzzz3d- wow, great drawings man! Smile
Rassel- You rock! Shocked

Here is my contribution to the thread:

I used a bic mechanical pencil. Design pencils are very hard to handle in my opinion because there are so many..HB, B, H9 etc. I still haven't figure it out whats the best combo. Embarassed
