So... anyone know of any good tree-painting tutorials or have any suggestions as to how to go about painting realistic trees in Photoshop...? Cuz I've looked and found nothing and I've tried and I can't seem to do it to a sastifactory level.. Rawr.

I had these trees in mind specifically, but trees in general is fine and would be helpful, as long as leaves are involved. :-�

Unfortunately the larger versions of the pictures on the first tutorial refuse to download for me, though even the mini-pics are still somewhat helpful. <3

Annnnd the second.... my problem is not actually drawing trees, but painting realistic ones in Photoshop. I can get the base idea down just fine, its the whole making it real thing I'm having problems with. Thanks though, I'll try your search word method (and others) since my own seem to be failing. ;_;

I have problem painting leaves too. I usually keep the trees dead in my paintings, or do pine trees. I think finding a custom brush that gives a texture of the leaves from far away would be the best thing to do for realism. Use the same technique as you would for an oil painting. Watch Bob Ross
