Hey everyone, i am currently putting together some ideas for an upcoming mod for the source engine for hl2, i will be making it with a strong proffessional team. And i would like to know from everyone that views this thread, there honest opinions/ideas, on what type of Multiplayer game(modification) - just think game though. What type of game would you really really want to play? Like really wanna play. Cause i want the public to like this. I want it to be good and get alot of attention. So give me your thoughts peeps.
Thanks, well appreciated.

P.S, i will also be looking for staff to join the team, to help create it. Soon enough. You know the scoop, Strong team of Concept Artists, Strong team of 3d modellers - animators later on. Texturers. Programming etc.. But don't worry bout this right now unless you want to msg me to talk bout it, and possibly join up early. My email - [email protected], send examples of your work, and position type. But worry bout, telling me what type of game you would really want to play!! _________________ When you look at a blank canvas or drawing paper, it stares you in the eyes and thinks it can beat you.~ Justin Beckett |

Yeah... word is HL2 wont be coming with Death Match or CTF or anything else... just Counter Strike: Source.... and now you have to buy the expensive version to get the original half life: source... and for all those unlucky people that bought ATI video cards with the HL2 voucher, and had to wait a year and 2 months just to play the stupid thing, are only being offered the lowest priced Half Life 2 package.. even after spending 300 - 500 dollars on a video card for it.
Im *extremely* dissapointed in Valve right now and considering not buying anymore of their games just like Im not buying gearbox games any more because they promised they were working on Co-op for Halo-PC and then gave up on it.
Nobody seems to listen to the gamers any more. Its pathetic. Whatever happened to Interplays motto, "By gamers, For Gamers".
Bah! this whole thing wreaks. |

Man, it must blow being a hardware manufacturer. ATi is going to suffer from that deal far more than Valve ever will. They exploited the fact that the engine will run better on those particular cards but made a huge gamble by hoping the game would be released on time.
Far enough, if the game did ship on time and the benchmarks proved the ATi ran it better, everyone who was buying a new system (like me) JUST for half-life 2 would be reaching for those Radeon 9800 XT and 9600 XT graphics cards first and ATi would make a mint. ATi would've timed their one-up over Nvidia right when the demand kicked in.
But it was high-risk to depend on Valve to release on time. Nvidia must be enjoying some high revenues with Doom 3 nowadays. _________________ www.high5art.com |
