I finally got around to seeing this movie; why the hell did I wait so long? I thought it was stellar - I can't get it off my mind! Just what the hell was this movie about? Time travel? Divine intervention? Many questions . . . many questions.
Let's discuss; your thoughts, please _________________ - Tom Carter

Seen it long ago, so its not fresh in my memory, all I know is that it had Patrick Swayze! Of course I loved the bunny. |

damn . . . thanks for the disruption in this universe. Looks like we created a parallel one as a result.
Someone go back, please . . . _________________ - Tom Carter

Saw this last week (the new Directors Cut) and absolutely loved it.
Even though I had NO idea what it was about.
Hint: there are lots of websites around that explain the story. Although it seems it was almost meant to be left open to interpretation. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

Ah ha!! The Great Sumaleth speaks!!
Yeah - I saw it recently and thought it was fantastic. A coworker saw it, and we both have been spending our lunches talking in depth about the film. You're right about the interpretations, as they are many. My fav is that Donnie didn't . . . should I even discuss this? Certainly there are some that haven't seen it.
Parallel universes - one born out of an event that should've occurred but didn't, and was it divine intervention that sent the messengers back to Donnie?
"Wake up, Donnie"
Damn what a brilliant film! It's still left me reeling in thought. I could go on and on . . . _________________ - Tom Carter

It was terrific. By the time that wierd vortex appeared in the sky, I wasn't even thinking 'that's some cool special effects'. It was more like, 'Finally, something familiar and normal for a change'! _________________ www.high5art.com |

I had one too many beers when I saw it, can only remember the jet engine falling in the end. _________________ http://www.somniostudios.com |

I think Donnie Darko was maybe the best debut direction film I've ever seen.
According to IMDB Richard Kelly has now a new movie in pre-production. Interesting to see what it will turn out to be. |
