I started painting this and I noticed something. My monitor has been calibrated and I think the picture looks good so far, but when i viewed it on another monitor, it's brightness and contrast turned up high, I was disappointed. The picture looked entirely different. What would I have to do to make it look decent on all monitors? Should I crank the brightness and contrast all the way up on my monitor while Im painting? I looked at other pictures here, and they seem fine, even when I switched the settings on my monitor, so I was wondering what I should do.

First off, I like that really much, you did a very good job on copying the painting. The original is not really fresh in my memory, but I think you captured the feel and everything.

About the monitor thing. Sadly I guess you cant do anything against that really. Not as long as there is no standard for monitor calibration which everyone follows. Im affraid alof of full moons will pass until the computer industry does something about that problem, which I think might be one of the most complicated ones to solve. Since you have alot of different quality monitors, workplace lighting conditions etc. The image looks very good on my pc.

Not really sure about cranking up the brightness and contrast. Well my contrast is all the way up to get the most color saturation out of my monitor. I did up my brightness though quite a bit lately to conform to all those brightness freaks. It seems that counterstrike and dark pc games really made people put their brightness up, for idiotic reasons though. Well enough rambling about that.
