Chruser: Alex is a friend of mine, he's the DDR King of our small dance dance circle of a dozen ddr enthusiasts. I'm practically next to best, although another friend of mine is getting better and better and gives me some serious competition. But then again, I play about once a week, he has it w/ him so he plays every other day....
just a sketch, no painting, yet

Bandados, nice lighting.
zhalimuto, cute lady.
zhuzhu, nice artrage stuff!
Omi-kun, awesome. I've run into quite a few DDR art freaks for some reason. I haven't tried for a while. Last time I checked, I could pass MAX300 Heavy at least. So much fun.
Turns out that timing myself was a wise decision. Well, not for the art outcome, but I'll use this as a starting point and see how much I'm going to develop at 1-hour paintings over time. If at all.
Edit: Another attempt, same timeframe:

GardenGnome, nice sketches. I like the bottom-left guy a lot.
TheDarkLord, awesome! I'd never guess it was done in ArtRage if it wasn't for the background.
Blurgh. Last one for today, I promise.

Allpetter - that's great to see the ref - nice shadows happening there.
I'm trying to develop various emotions in my drawing. Here's one attempting to be anger...
But I think he just looks constipated. Didn't turn out at all what I intended and I fussed with it too much.
Need to get the contrast and tonal range right as well. I think I'm too afraid of shadows |
