I've recently formatted my computer but before I did I began to draw a Halo image (show below). However, I did actually just do a sketch over of thre outline, although the shading wasn't done this way.

I did this because I just couldn't be arsed to draw it on paper and scan it in, even though I know I should have.

It's taken me around 40 minutes so far.

Any comments and crits are welcome,

UPDATE: Halo (Current Stage)

Finally got round to installing Photoshop and managed to edit my image. Made some slgiht changes to the visor and to the hand also.

P.S: I've decided to post it in a link because It's quite large. As soon as I get Photoshop installed I will resize it and post it as an image.

A new update. I think it's coming along alright, just began to do the detail on the forearm and the bicep of the right arm.

Could do with some criticism here though peoples, since I'm a n00b and all:P

I think the picture looks good but I dont understand what you mean when you said you drew the outline of the picture? Do you mean you just drew an outline on the computer or do you mean you traced the image?

I mean I drew over the image doing a quick sketch of it. So made a new layer and basically did a rough draft of the outline, instead of actually just looking at it and drawing it from there.

Sorry if I'm hijacking your thread, but I thought I'd just throw in my Halo work. It's based off of an early Halo 2 screenshot. Good work on Master Cheif, I'm looking foward to the finished piece.

The only thing that I don't understand from your pic is the bottom of his right leg, I'm no expert on anatomy at all, but the proportions seem totally wrong to me Confused

I'm liking the rest of it though chief. And thanks, I doubt I'll be finishing it anytime soon though. I'm also going to try and think of a new background instead of a straight copy from reference.

nice work rec|use.

However, the left leg seems wrong.
The knee is too far down, so it doesn't match up with the right leg. A cm or so (on the screen image that I'm seeing) higher and that should sort itself out.

A new update. I've not got round to modifying the leg yet. But as soon as I get onto doing the legs I'll be sure to change it:

I've also noticed that the torso seems too bright for the rest of the image. Yet another thing which needs sorting...
