Hi guys
this must have been asked a zillion time already...
I got a couple of recent stuff printed that went a bit off, or very far in the off-side, this with different clients, etc. With most clients, it does fine, but the recent ones made me wonder if my technical settings were in cause. I sometimes get a hard times reading all the subtilities in the darkest values, alla Spooge, so I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried those calibrating devices, spiders and co - that one stck on the screen - are they any good ?
I never saw anyone in the videogame industry bothering with these kind of stuff, where most screens are calibrated either for Quake or Warcraft, so if in your area of expertise, photos, films, gardening, whatever, you have come to find some decent solutions, I'd really like to hear about your experiences.
I know that too often, the guy at the end of the line plays a bit too much with the curve tools in PS and wreck the image for his own screen, but even so, i have to try thnaks ! _________________ ---
