Thank you seth1!

About the carpet question.
I did what alot of artists do.
namly to paint a "texture" and skew it around (ctrl+t in photoshop) so it matches the perspective grid for the carpet section.

This is the texture i used.

wow havn't been here for probably a halfyear!
But I took a peek today, and got extremely inspired by everything in this thread again.

spooge: that last pic of yours - totally awesome.
R.A.F.: i so dig that picture, clean lines, nice colors. Altho her neck seems a bit long.

and i havent like, painted a image in almost a halfyear too Crying or Very sad

so i decided to pickup the wacompen and scribble away. damn im rusty.

btw: Tja Thommy! Smile (Tony frn dice)

Bjotto: Thanks. Yes I was not going for realistic colors, but more oversaterated playful colors.

Well i wouldent really call it a speed painting cause it took 4 hours, but it started out as one. I am so happy with this it's my best painting ive ever done and it's done with a mouse lol... Reference used http://www.knowthemovie.com/seven/s21.jpg

Tools: Adobe photoshop 7.0 and mouse

lol capt. flush, your "bad" stuff is better than my best. I thought every one of those was just fine, and I really liked the one of the giant fish and the downed airplane.

It's been a long time since I've painted anything(which I suppose is obvious Smile), so I did this ugly little number the other day just to try to get back in the groove of it.

There are so many talented people here.
Octavian, Flush, Spooge, Allpetter: Great work, guys.

Mitsui: I like your last one(and every one before that Smile). Cool atmosphere. I can always sense some story behind your paintings. Do you just have all these different scenes running through your head all day?

Matthew: I've been watching your stuff for a long time. You've really been improving. Seeing your dedication has helped me to get painting again. Truly inspiring. Thank you.
