looks like i unintenionally created some kind of a cheap wasssup fake, i see my personality going down the drain...

@spooge: i meant the carter ratcliff book on sargent. also the local library had one called sargent - the sensualist, a really nice collection of studies and drawings i did not happen to have seen before. starngely the author claimed sargent was gay and kept erotic drawings of men in his studio for personal pleasure... weird.

Geki:
Yeah, kinda actually! Smile
I had no idea what I was painting.
It all started out with a cup of coffee and some random shapes.
I have to better my lighting.
This was a pretty lame atempt...
Hopefully I'll be able to paint something worth looking at in a hundred years from now. Smile

And your's!!
Thats so nice!
It's berloose-ness is so bersweet!

and since I'm making a completly new post I guess I have to add yet another speedy.

I had dinos roaming in my head!

Blame on Matthew! Razz

geki: THank you
StylesDavis: thanks! glad you like it.
Fiend: yea custom brushes are great. Just got to know when to use them and when not to, I'm working on that. I like your new speed painting.

Not sure how long this one took because I worked on it in sections over the day in between my pencil sketching practice. Around 2 hours 20 minutes.

Yea, I know about the perspective problems. anyways, it was cool to do it but next time I plan on doing the basic form on paper then scanning it in.
I know I can do a lot better, and I will... tomorrow.

Program used : Photoshop 7
Time it took: Around 2 hours 20 minutes
Yes I used a tablet.

the new artrage has three new vital features: the alt-colorpick, zooming, and no more size limit.
the beta version is amazing. Shocked

everybody goes artrage, i go photoshop, go figure. i can understand why it's also loved as a paint program. but I confess I had to go back to painter to add 2 strokes to "finish" it.

I really think Photoshop isn't good for your style of painting. Your lovely brushwork is best for Painter or other natural media simulating software, where the paint actually gets dragged around and blends with other paint on the canvas. Photoshop really, really sucks for that.
