No, of course you're welcome.
Your art is very interesting - but as it is a bit abstract its hard to give an advice or critic. If someone paints a realistic human, then its easy to comment anatomy and technique.
This picture caught my attention, and I looked at it very long to understand what you wanted to show or say - in this way I found it more interesting than many realistic artworks. Its just hard to give advice.
I like how you gave these forms structure, that it looks like you have really put a lot of effort in this pic and that there are interesting points that catch the eye. And overall I like that it leaves the observer room for interpretion.
Things that could be improved is the overall composition. There are points of attention (like the swirly sun), but the eye isnt real lead through the picture. The huge structure to the right lacks contrast - its kind of hard for the eye to find a "hold" there.
I would be interested to know what you had in mind when you painted this.

Looks pretty good. It's obviously very meticulously rendered, and I think the attention to detail definitely pays off in this kind of image. What I think makes it less appealing than it could be is the lack of depth, and the washed out feel of the entire foreground. That kind of landscape leaves a lot of room for depth and really sculpting the scene, but it all appears flat unless you really analyze the linework. I know it's not easy to do that with watercolors or colored pencils, but it's doable. A little digital retouching could work wonders for this piece. |
