Hi there,first post here...
I mainly do 3d modelling, but I feel I have to improve my painting/drawing skills to create some good character designs. It just isn�t very intuitiv to create a character in 3d space without knowing what I�m going to model
I hope to get some usefull tips for the design, mood or maybe some ideas for body/posing.
It makes a lot of fun doing him , I think I will do some more 2d in the future

its extremely well rendered, and that's one goofy expression. The disembodied head thing just makes it even more ludicris. i wouldn't mind a background, but then you'd probably need to give it a body or put the head on a spear or something. |

it looks too flat, i'd suggest a secondary light source positioned behind its right shoulder |

As my art teacher once told me "No floating Heads!!" it's a bad thing to add to a portfolio kinda like putting lens flares on images, just say no. Yes needs another light source or bounce back light on the left side there just to accent it all. |
