That looks cool matthew, seems like you've considered your strokes a bit more carefully with that one.

Thanks guys. Great work from you all.

Inspired by Amadeus, and nUmb and Swarm's big haired ladies.

Matthew: I thought that last one of yours was an HPX quickie for a second. I like it.

I had to readjust the brightness. I painted on a too bright monitor. So right now it looks a bit milky =/

Hey was'up guys, I finally produced some speed paintings for this site so I thought I'd post 'em. Love your artwork Max Kulich, Spooge Demon, Pierre, Wassup, and all the others I can't remember. This is where its at.

Anyways - I did these for a horror project. 'Bout 15-30 min each. If you can't tell I'm a big Silent Hill fan.

Here's good old skin/cloth on my ugly noggin boy.

The mannequin of ivory and poooo-dooooo.

Hangs McGinty

A little bit too Silent Hill inspired. O_O;

If you want to see the outcome of the project I should have it posted in finished works.

HEY LETS TALK ABOUT PAINT REAL QUICk!
I read those papers about Seargent that Spooge put up, I forget where, about how Seargent would stare at the model, stare at the canvas, stare at the model, stare at the canvas, back and forth and then strike with his brush. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the process, but this almost seems analitical! Quite a few other painters I highly respect say that it should be a fast, intuitive process. WHAT DOEs IT ALl MEAN!?

I think when you spend more time thinking about your plan of attack, you will have a better result, than having no plan at all.

Look at sprinters who train for races that are over in seconds, or boxers who train for a big fight. They spend months if not years training so when they perform, it's as flawless a performance that they can possibly put forward.

I think by looking at your subject, given that you have some mileage in front of a model, you can figure out what is important to you and what is not. This is much better than trying to figure things out as you go along.
