Tjendol - i used line tool in PS to make a brick pattern in 2D and then Edit>Transform>distort to stretch it into perspective as a guide, faded layer transparency back and then painted over it.

M.C., spooge, pringle - verynice
stephan - reminds of the great xanth covers

some of my latest oilworks
Still experimenting a lot with this medium and oil is what I like the most.

Michael Ancher copy, one of those Skagen painters u can often here me rambling about. I really like this composition and had to make a copy.

Some other random paintings all of them pretty much experimental.

ref used for the picture beneath but I didnt follow it really and the ref was monochromatic.

Always fun when you have no idea of what you are going to paint before you start painting.

Thanks for the comments on the Sauron pic guys.

stephan: Inspired. Love it.

Pringle: Your last two are superb. I'd really like to see another pic of Bjork floating down the passageway. The one about three pages ago.

Matthew: I like the castle. Your brushstrokes are more considered in that one, and there's good depth.

drunken monkey: that landscape is wonderful

ax--hv, fiend, ten, spooge and cake-eye (the last one) very nice also

Apologies to Bill Baxter for the lame ass tags in this one

Pud'

Found that cool little program "Art Rage" from a thread on this forum a few days ago. Now I gave it a quick try, and it was really fun playing with. You should try it out!

Oups... sorry for the double post....
Hi there...

Here is just a portrait of my princess...
I try to anderstand the colours behaviours.

It's my 2nd post here, and this SpeedP session is very interresting to learn a lot from the comments of the colours'n'ligting's masters (Spooge? ... Rolling Eyes )

I'm French and my english is probably not so easy to understand...
Very nice works here anyway!!! My main learning ressource...

Bye!

Did put some hours into this one, I guess it's not really a speedpaint, but not worthy its own thread either, so, here goes.

Long time ago since my last post here (except some self-drawings some days ago in the selfportrait-thread).
- And what a brainflush to watch about 17 pages in one session.

@ Matthew, great to see you still improving!
Miss you some times in IRC ... Wink
@ Frost, thanks for sharing your nightmare some pages ago .. its incredible fantastic!
@ Ten, great concept-car on page 358
@ Drunken Monkey, great landscape (shishkin study)
@ Stephan - Wunderbar!

"I'm not trying to cause problems, I just want happy Sijun, I liked it better."

hmm, i prefer some disagreements from time to time ... its too cold if you keep your honest opinion behind some nice words for all the time just to keep up appearances ... such a superficial idyll is worthless.
I feel better if i know what you really think about my work - and if i don't have to hide my opinion about yours. I cannot look into your eyes(well, even if its just here in the internet) while telling you some nice shit.
I cannot do happy to be happy. If its all right its really fine, but if not i cannot ignore it and feel good anyway.

tried ArtRage, too:

(might be inspired indirect by some of spooges paintings ... )
