XIA, kind of curious which one u mean, what was the motive in the pic?
dougbot, I love that first one works very well in my eyes.
Quick color test with a sketch from life-drawing session today, yes I am still doing life-drawing eventhough it doesnt probably show cause I have been way obsessed with simplification lately.

Don't know why I'm posting this piece of crap, but here goes:
I hope my contrived anatomy doesn't make anyone's eyes bleed |

There's so much talent in this thread, I'm learning a lot just by looking at what everybody is posting. This page really has some impressive stuff. Everyone has a unique style here.
Thought I'd try my hand at another speed painting. This one took 1 hour 45 min. I kept catching myself noodling the details too much. Are there any tips for somebody who has a tendancy to get caught up in details early on in the process?

ok it was a quick one... i'm not feeling great right now...
but it took me THIS long to realize... i gotta really start simplifying and getting down basic shapes etc... thx to matthew and spooge (just by watching his pics a lot) for knocking that into my head.
again, ANY comments/crits/suggestions welcome! i need all i can get XD _________________ ~a shadow, a moment, a memory-- a monument, a legend, a legacy~ |

Nice piece man,
Can you tell me how you created those bricks? Did you do that by hand or did you use filters or tools?
