Hi

This is a pencil drawing from photo reference. I have used a 2b pencil and finished it in 5-6 hours (I am a newb so feel free to bitch around..) I have to excuse the bad quality because I have no scanner and I have taken a photo of drawing with digital cam...

My recommendation is to find something with some good lighting. Hey, if you can take your own photos, then get a friend to pose for you, light him/her well, snap off a few good shots, and then draw from that. Good lighting will really bring out the form, because right now it is a white circle with eyes, perhaps a suggestion of nose, and some faint lips. A well lit model would definitely help.

This is not me and i am not a girl (I am not gay - I just love cats). I do not have a graphic tablet because I am a newb and I have read that its better to learn to use the pencil before painting (digitally)

... i dunno maybe this is how it was... but her right eye (on the left) looks larger than her left eye (on the right) just a little bit...

but i like it! it looks like a highcontrast portrait
