It's been a Looooong time since I've had the time to paruze the forum and I just wanted to say: Matthew... Holy 'effing crap man! You've come a long way man keep up the good work. I knew from all the good advice you were getting you'd progress, but your stuff is looking terrific.. I hope you're keeping a sketch book near by. I't be great to see some of your sketches from life.
I wish I could've made the kind of progress you have in the past few months, but I've been chained to the darn computer doing design work and my other job keeps me from the sketch book more than I'd like. Just keep it up I'm jealous as hell.

Yeah, it's been so long since I've been on that I missed the flame war over the last few pages. Um, wow, what I said really was sincere not trying to add wood to the fire. Carry on...

ValarianROOT, many thanks there valarian.
pud', thats ok with me.
ok more painter testing, still hard to get some kind of detail with it and at the same time keep it simplified, I will figure it out though hehe I hope.

probably would not recognize the similarity, but the composition is close, so credit is due to Yue Tin Mui.

Spooge, your last one is wonderful, all those vibrating colours and a very dynamic painting style makes your image "fresh", but you know that already.
Sunday evening boredom:

uglypixel, thank you there.
it is always very fun to open the door to the repository in the basement and to find out that u have been robbed, think I will have to put this knight to guard the place from now on. Same character as in the sketch in the weekly drawing, the character fighting the dragon.
gnight people

Quite speedy in ArtRage. Just oil and palet knife.
I haven't painted or posted anything here in ages.
I recently moved and could not locate my Wacom pen today, so this is done with my old mouse which didn't further the process any.
Great work in this thread!

mitsui:well, i made a paintover for your paining. I found your colours too exaggerated. But when I tried it myself I found that you were pretty right with what you did =) Some whites and purples were misleading and the colourscheme, but the overall colourscheme could work. So, basically this is just a cleaned up version of yours =) Maybe you can get something off of it anyways.
