Everyone, really cool stuff!
Hpxxx, yeah, zeiss optic lens ;) great work!

Been out on an eagle excursion with my buddies. We saw 7 swans, countless crows and many nice Swedish early spring scenerys to paint :), no damn eagles though.

Two quick outdoor acrylics...

They're both from 16-bit games. Make me happy and tell me which ones.

Ron, thanks for your kind thoughts. As far as what goes on in my head, not much. Sometimes on purpose! I have said before that I like to change the process around as much as I can, to try to see where something might lead. What I want to break free from is the "proper" way of doing things (thumbnails, line art, value study, tone ground, darks first, lights, etc). Spending the rest of my career refining and narrowing these steps seems kind of boring to me. Even though an artists work all looks the same (you can tell who did it) changing process can be a way of staving off terminal repetition. Or at least I am trying. So I think what you are doing with starting differently sounds good to me.

So to answer your question, sometimes I have something very specific in mind that came to me while brushing my teeth. Sometimes an abstract doodle will jump out at me. All over the map.

Hey Pierre those looks nice. I like the shapes and brushwork, looks like solid mattes. But I am curious why imitate the camera effects when working from life?

XIA- the Chicago talk is a private company, not open to the public, sorry. The one in Detroit I am not sure about. Somebody there wrote me about the Toyota lecture endowment, but I cant get a response from them. So it may be off.
