Amazine custom brushes! The wonders of coding! Soon every paint program will have its "create a cool illustration" button! |
Bleh, the technical knowledge required to create a painting and it's approximation of reality have nothing to do with it's validity as a piece of art. I could spend 20 hours doing a photo realistic interpretation of a toilet roll, or Spooge could spend 20 minutes doing a stylised rendition of a lady in a field. Which is ultimately going to be more interesting?
Your opinion on the matter obviously differs, but please don't put others down because they don't agree with you. The use of texture isn't a cop out, it's an aesthetic decision. Again, if you don't appreciate it that's fine but don't confuse your opinion with fact.
Would you have derided Spooge or Zuhzu for using textured effects on their images if they were done with natural media?

I've been thinking about trees lately, while the trunks are still bare to the evening sun.

no textured brush has been harmed during this speedpainting.
give me some work.
pato, what field are you in now ? seems like architecture leads to a lot of different paths i've met a lot of ex-architects in the video games industry lately.
wasssup, you definetly master that "less is more" equation in your works. _________________ Wet tentacles, horny chixxx & scary designs
