Thanks!
hardcore>> Yep I'm an architect, work for Kasper & Architects. Though, I'm thinking about doing something else...I love all Netherlandish architects and their work, Hadid's rough models are cool, but the completed buildings are uncomparable with her draftings, ugly corners can easily be found. Basically I don't like big commercial projects, too many non-design-related aspects involved, any small culture/art based projects make more appeal to me.
Swarm>> *girlie heads down* rox!
ed: Mikko>> forget to tell you, that last one's very nice!
Matthew, be careful with bright things in shadow. White(or local color in high value) concrete will never look "black" no matter how dark the environment is. I know some artist like pushing values to an extreme contrast(like Mike Mignola ect.) to achieve a dramatic appearance, but it's hard to balance the lit/dark areas, very hard. Besides, save some brushwork for the main character, he's fading into the background.
Hope the overpaint is ok for you

Hi, Umm I'm new both to digital airbrushing and to this forum, this being my first post. I've been borrowing a wacom tablet on and off for about a month and I really enjoy myself with it. I mostly work with 3d and I'm studying game development. I never painted with oils or stuff like that so this is kinda a new experience for me. I hope to get help improving my skills by, what I've seen so far, exellent artists.
Enough with this. This is some of what I've made so far. Please feel free to comment.
This is a self portrait I made a coupple of weeks ago.
This is a friend I made last week

wasssup, wow many thanks there wasssup, me bows. its amazing what u can achieve with so few strokes, this one is going to my harddrive for closer examination.
yea u are right about the values I have to work harder at this, perhaps I should go with reference more now again.
once again thank you wassup, u know I love overpaints and I am really hounoured when someone is doing one for me.
ok one picture to add to the post, hyver and me in an oc session, had really fun with this one. Me to the left and hyver to the right, I really like his Caesar character.

Damn, I just cant do it!
Your statement suggests you are mistaking your preference for some kind of truth.
But if we are talking about your preference, I think that is fine. Others have said they like my older non textural paintings better, and I think they have a very good point. Some feel that the round brushes look digital (bad) and the textured brushes look more natural (good).
I used the lens flare in about 95, for what I thought was a good reason. Since then, many petabytes of images with lens flares have risen up to our knees like so much sewage. But does that make my original use of it bad? Yes, Im afraid it does. This is happening to the whole PS paint thing (round brushes, too). You might feel about digital art the same way as you feel about custom brushes now after you look at several million more of them.
klash, look in your mail tomorrow.
wigin, no PM from you. My PM have never worked, I think, or at least not consistently. |

I really wonder if that's really matter...I am here to learn, aren't we all?
Leave them all alone. Why am I getting into this?
