Now I'm breaking out of the box. I'm using a laptop with a poor screen, a mouse and painter classic that I can't use. Result is the worst referenced crap ever done in 10 minutes. And it makes me smile again.

been doing color tests with this drawing I posted earlier, very rough but I am focusing on the colors for now.
I hope the posting works now again, didnt get any mod answers in the digital art discussion.

Its ridiculous to post this in the mother of all threads but its a chance to tell you people that you are an incredible source of inspiration!

cutout of that acrylic interpretation of a digital sketch. Orig is 20" by 30". This file is one third final resolution. After putting it together from flatbed scans, the whole thing will be Gicleed at 300 DPI, at 20 by 30" I scanned it in 48 bit color, and a 6k by 9k file at that depth is an elephant.

On the texture or flat thing, uh, I guess by some peoples logic BW pics are superior to color ones cause they don't "need" the color. It is another variable, and has to be used well, and if it is not, maybe it is best to leave it alone. I am slowly learning how to use it less gratuitously. Lets all go back to pencils and prove our artistic machismo.

Started as a speed paint, died as a slowpaint. But it was intented as a speed paint.
I had a good structure underneath for it, and whenever I have that, it interferes with my spontaneous approach.

Have you made your decision? I am still waiting patiently. If possible please have an answer so i continue with my work in either direction.
