why do people always type "nudity warning" when they have posted a pic of a naked woman but never "blood and guts warning" when they post blood smeared innards being torn out of some heavily armed guy by some cannibalistic mutated monster?

I find this rather strange that a naked woman is thought to be more offensive and dangerous to young minds than some piles of livers, hearts, skulls and bones.

Can anyone enlighten me on this?

I think I have to agree with the point you are making. An unclothed person is quite beautiful if it isn't explicit or provocative. I guess some people believe minds will be corrupted if they see breasts and other parts, it's a strange world.

eheh there's two reasons i can think of

some people are empathetic for snogs on the forum with kids in the room,

some people actually believe others are offended by drawn pictures of nudity.

But I'd have to agree with y'all on this! For one why should we keep the younger ppl naive to something that's inevitable? 98% of them will have sex within a few years, but only about 2% may spew somebodies guts out! So why is it "harzardous to young minds"? The human body is beautiful, when will idiots realize that every naked chick or dude doesn't mean "PORN ALERT"?

But the again, how come you can go to a park and see some disk welding statue dude with his peener hanging out and no one has a problem! But most pieces with women in them the little boys get their eyes blinded by society?

hehe its quite simple actually... to attract viewers

its common for movies to have gore and violence and/or some nasty stuff (name one that doesnt!) but its not so common for nudity (in most posts or movies/cartoons) and people are too lazy to go out on porno sites and find nudity so they go to their local forum or theater and look at it there...
hehe in other words, the warning attracts people (just a theory btw)

hehe.

gore does the trick, yes it does.

after creating my characters based solely on senseless violence and killing, the traffic on my site skyrocketted by about 4 times. now everyone wants more of them.

Violence and Sex both stimulate the "rewarding" (dunno the exact english term - not my mother's language, mind you) part of your brain... call it instant gratification, wether it's simulated or not.

To tell the truth I like both! ~I want sex flicks, I want livers, rated R, NR please deliveR!~ heheheh! And about the %2, that's just my estimate of how many people actually have that tendicy! ook! How do you spell tendicy? heheheh! Anyway if I got mad enough I'd probably enjoy doing so! Can anybody say chainsaw? heh! And who doesn't love sex!

I wanted to take an anatomy drawing class but I couldn't take it because they use real "models" and I wasn't 18... Okay like there might be an intelligent youngster out there that wants to learn anatomy and kids "watch the discovery channel don't they"... My mother understood my need to expain on my drawing so she bought me an anatomy book. I also got a "you didn't draw this, and it's proportioned wrong" on one of my anatomy drawings I entered in a contest... the kid that won had the body the size of a candy bar and the head the size of a nickle. she just wasn't wearing clothing, but everythign was covered... Man that's going to bug me until I die. It was a male judge or I would have gotten 1st place... and I was offered over $175 for it about 1 year later.
