hi guys. i'm a complete newbie and don't know anything. i used to draw cartoons and stuff in junior high, but since then pretty much nothing has been done.
since i bought my intuos2 two weeks ago, i've posted some doodles and stuff in the speed painting thread, but i figured i should really learn this from the ground up, so to speak. instead of just trial and error.
i'm reading as many tutorials as i can find, and try to practice a lot, but in the meantime i'd be very greatful for some tips and pointers. general advice, as well as for this picture.
where should i start?
levels?
perspective?
anatomy?
how do i teach myslef these things, and what else should i learn?

Im at the same point as you Unalternate.
What I do is I draw a ton of things from life. I at least do one thing from life each day. The things that your trying to learn will begin to make more sense. |
