vyle.. the bird attacking the boat. the water is soft, with blurry edges carrying different colours, but theres a texture on it. a techincal question about that.. as in.. how was it done? some kind of a texture overlay?
and wouldn't wind coming from the bird make the water all splashy and such? |

you might think that this is a filter piece but it is in fact custom brushes with a pencil and some different selections.
Maybe this is clich too.

Hey Vyle- I'm honoured!
I like your last piece Matthew- very organic.
Worked about 1.5 hour on this one, but I cant get it right. Now its overworked:(
After a photo, would like to post it but I lend out my digi camera. So I cant photograph the reference.

Kinnas>> The water was originally done with painter and I applied a photoshop filter to some areas (glass fx, a bit cheesy, but hey whatever works...).
Sparth>> Coucou!!! As-tu demenage?? Very nice last piece
Spooge>> I already told you that Alien with extra-natural abilities were not allowed on this human only forum. I really like your last one anyway.
Dr.Zulu>> the honour is all mine
captain flushgarden+matthew>> Nice! |

Flush, now look what you made me do, hehe, I love yours there and I love over-paints. :)
Seems like I got confused when I made one with color.
Dr.Zulu, Capt.Flush, Vyle // thank you guys. :)

I'm a slacker, must post something. I like Socar's bad dog. And henrik, that landscape was awesome. Of course, the usual suspects, flush, spooge, and sparth all rock. I'm loving Swarm's pics too, especially that corset one a ways back.

Howdy people.
I am totally new to this forum and to computer drawing. Actually this pic is the first I have ever drawn on computer. I was aquainted to this forum and the speed drawing thread yesterday, so I drew this here thing to post. I have noticed a great many cowboy drawings, so I decided not to be left out of the good company and therefore drew a cowboy too.
It's done with mouse. I dont have one of them fancy pens
When I get one, I'll do some color stuff.
Anyway I am intimidated by the quality of artwork here. Hope you forgive me for this drawing. Afterall it is my first.

Daniel_in_wonderland, it's cool, we are all learning here so its great that you want to work at it.
still learning painter and some of the off the wall ways of doing stuff, which seam like nothing in photoShop, but takes me all night to figure out where some of the tools are in painter.
o well, I wish I could do backgrounds.

The type was an accident on a blank opened canvas, and I tried to make it into an actual piece, with a high tech blown out look. Kind of in imitation of HPX, but somehow I lost the sense of depth there was in it at first... oh well. |
