I finally got a tablet (Graphire2) after many, many years of putting it off. Figured I'd paint my youngest son Caleb as a first test. Open to crit of course.
Lots of great stuff on this forum, hats off to all... some very nice work here.

as a first try that is amazing -- higher the saturation a bit though. Great emotion. I'd say his head is way too high above his forehead, but maybe thats just me.

Thanks for the feedback. I was going for that washed out look, but your suggestion about the saturation made me think about it a bit differently just for the sake of it. Here's a 'harder' version... has it's merits too I think.
