The waves are too blurry. Give 'em more shape value...Make 'em more rough!
add light and shadow
The whole image is too bright, and the horizon is too flat.
some more ref pics will help you...water isn't easy to paint.
the birds give some life into the scene - like that

still like the image thought |

i mostly changed the bricks and the water. last time I was told the water looked icy, now I more light wave lines to give a foggy effect. hmm, ill change the water and make it look trastically diffrent for next time.
I think I should start the water from scratch. thanks _________________ Chaplin |

I agree with the water. Overall this is a nice piece though. The sky is amazing. |

Hey ya, I like the color you choose. And the sea, have ever seen a Turner painting? if not, what are you waiting for. The man was profoundly known as TH' master of sea painting. I like the cobbly wall texture. But yeah really study a Turner master peice. Maybe you could try lowering the horizon a little and see how it effects depth. _________________ Bonza |

It's weird; the strongest aspect of this picture for me is the broken portion of that tiny fence leading up to the lighthouse. If I let my eye focus on just that, it looks almost like a photo for a moment or two. |
