Matthew:
I was referring to the most recent one especially. But I think you always tend to use a lot of colors.
Maybe a not so big color palette but a wider value range (with clearer distincions) would help.
Just temporarily till you get the hang of it.
Does that make sense? Well my image is not a good example Wink

Here the crappy picture ... Sparth inspired:

Acrylic, 50 minutes speed doodle during this afternoon. I was trying out a new tecnique so I used a sponge for this one and it seems the colors can be blended into eachother better with a sponge. I also have an elephant in acryl which I made today, let me know if you wanna see it. :)

AndyT - Aha I see what you mean now, yea I am working on an tecnique which where I can benefit both from digital and traditional painting, not sure if it helps me but I think it will, I hope so anyway. And the contrasty colors makes the picture very dramatic, dont you think? But yea I know what you mean Andy, thank you for pointing it out. :)

Mon - a little bit of that Prom style in the latest one, cool. :)

Later
Matthew

Well here is a 3rd one for this page.
I have been painting and drawing for the whole day today and after this evenings figure drawing it suddenly hit me, maan, there is a relationship to everything once you can see how body parts and everything relate to eachother. I think I am starting to get some of these things, I think. :)

sleeping time and the pencils is down.
