Sure, so do sculptures or 3D models.
Did you do this with markers?
I don't like the idea of muscled women, but it's a nice drawing.
Although her legs seem a bit too long (but that may be me). And the thighpad-thingy lacks some strings in the duck pose. |

Thanks for the comments. The drawing was made with markers and wood pencils. I also used a marker airbrush alittle.
I must have been blind to leave out those strings, and you are right about the legs being too long(its a bad habit I have that I cant seem to get rid of, maybe I like long legged women too much ) |

Hi there,
those are nice concepts!
Some crit if you like:
the head, in both of the drawings looks very small.. while in the left one its maybe still in the loomis-"heroic" area it appears very strange to me in the right pic.
The waist area in the right picture looks very large, somehow as if she had a beer-belly or something like that.. if you compare that to the left one where she looks athlethic and slim it makes a somewhat strange impression.
Nonetheless I really like the flow of lines you have in those, and the rendering is very nice as well! |

comments:
+ nice poses, good sense of weight, balance, action.
- continue to study anatomy and life drawing (see the live drawing thread on this site), it is invaluable for this type of work. You will quickly discover the curves and muscles that are prominent during certain motions and how they look in reality. A good reference: Bridgmans Complete Guide to Drawing from Life.
my two cents worth. |

Thanks for the critique. I try to do as much croquis as possible, but unfortunately the only models the schools in my town uses are males(the really hairy kind with no muscles) I took a look at the loomis book, and it had some really interesting stuff in it, thanks for that lead. |

they're cool, but like what some peeps have said, the heads seem pretty small, and theres something about the muscles on the top one that dont seem very natural...especially the one on the right. _________________ -Chase |

Yeah, that's cool.
Although it'd almost be better to add the new image(s) as a post at the end of the thread so the "newest" link works. Otherwise we'll be jumping to the end of the thread only to have to go back to the start each time.
Nice pics btw. You could perhaps concentrate on proportions a little, but still its good stuff. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |
