I recently got an Aiptek hyperpen 8000u. I didn't want to pay lots of money for an intuous2 and i need space so the graphire2 wasn't gonna cut it. So I just wanted to know what the big differences are. I know about the eraser, which mine doesn't have (don't need, use keyboard shortcuts) and i admit, the mouse that came with the tablet sucks balls, but those things don't really bother me. I also know that intuos2 has more pressure sensitivity (which i don't need, 512 is more than enough for me ), but what are the differences. Is it more precise or what?
Also, I wanted to know if anyone here uses Aiptek, and if they know how to get the tip out of the pen. I tried it but didn't know how so i stopped. No use breaking the thing. I haven't had problems with it, but I got curious and I want to know for future reference.
BTW, tablets ROCK!!!!! . I don't know how i ever did without one. It advanced my digital painting/drawing technique by miles. Now I can actually sketch on my comp and not have to hassle with scanners etc. _________________ It has been clinically proven that other people's pain IS funny. |

I think Wacom is the only way to go.
You can search for Aiptek and take a look at the threads that already exist.

I had a very small aiptek. It is just a mouse, and can't be considered a real tablet. Sorry.
But that was very small one, and maybe they advanced. If you like it then great! they can be used for coloring too. |
