Is there a way to adjust only the value of the currently selected colour?
I know you can display the current colour in H/S/V percentages, but I haven't been able to find a way to set them, other than dragging the colour selector around and watching the numbers.
Just curious if anyone knows. Thanks! |

Hi,
Not in Painter 7, but in Painter 8, the RGB Color Section is now the Color Info palette and it looks and works just like the RGB Color section except we can choose Display as RGB or Display as HSV from the palette menu.
When we choose HSV there are sliders and number fields just like in the Painter 7 RGB Color section.
If you want to use several values of the same color, you can create a Two-Point Gradient, fill a small Canvas with it and pick anywhere along the Gradient with the Dropper tool.
You're not the first to ask about this and that's probably why it got included in Painter 8.
Sorry not to be able to give you the answer you wanted.

Hi Jinny,
Thanks for the detailed reply. I will have to look into getting Painter 8 I guess. The gradient idea is a good one though. I will have to give that a go.
Thanks again.
