Obviously an ode to Leo! (excellent job mate, hope it's ok)
And a design of Agent 44 aswell. Slightly mixed with Abrams.

Couple of hours.

C+C welcome.

It looks great!
I'm at a bit of a loss as to what is going on in the bottom half of the picture even though it looks beautiful.

I wonder if the soldier shouldn't perhaps be shown merely as a reddish silhouette...the detail looks a little superfluous maybe?

ps check your pm!

Great style and nice design too. I love the way you've just painted the highlights white with no detail at all like it's all bleached out. I don't like the thing that looks like four fingers sticking up behind the tank, though, spoils the comp IMO.

Balistic: haha, thanks mate. It's "your" colors aswell.

Fungi: Too kind, but it's ok Wink!

apb: Thanks but look again Wink

Matthew: Glad you like it.

Suma: Aw c'mon!! Smile

Wasssup: Wow, Thanks! That's really an inspiration coming from you man! Must be moving in the right direction then.

Nova: Yeah I know what you mean. It's just me being artsy, I didn't want to go into too much detail where not necessary. That should explain the dodgy perspective aswell. I thought it be funny if the bottom of the image had a more flat, modern art feel to it.
The soldier.....well yeah, he's just there to establish the scale, so I guess he could. He's pseudo lighted through the smoke so one could get away with anything here.
(Check your pm)

Saturn: Thanks. Yeah, the 'decoy depletion unit thingy' was rather hasted....it was an atttempt at giving the tank some elements of biological weirdness and complexity.

oDD: Haha, you're my man!! thanks bud.

There are major perspective errors in the tank aswell but they aren't mentioned, only the ground thing which I think is funky in a good way..... but If it fails to get across then I gotta rework it. Perhaps make it even more flat?!

Interresting to see what works and what doesn't

Thanks a bunch for the crits guys.

Sukhoi

oh dang i just got it...i was imagining the tank on top of a cliff or something.

I guess the shadow of the tank on the ground is too long or, alternatively, the shadows on top of it are too short.

I figured that the light that was just missing the top of the tank weren't hitting the ground because it is on a slope.

sorry about the confusion. Razz

Lovely lighting. Very Happy I'd like to see some more details on that tank, but obviously this was a quickie...

Just love that pallet though.

Thx Malachi.

Yeah two-three hours or so. I would have put it in speedpaint, but you know how it works, and all of a sudden you have gotten in deeper than you thought.
I'd like to do more, ones with more detail aswell. Perhaps people are about ready for a "heavy duty assault vehicle" thread.

I think I'll get working on that Wink
