This is the first thing I've been able to do for nearly a month that I can even remotely call a "piece". As stated, it's a sort of extraterrestrial equivalent of a dinosaur, probably a browser like an iguanodont or a therizinosaur. Rendered in pencil and GIMP:

I love a good -alien- design, and I think you really have something going there. Hints of Giger, Wayne Barlowe and Halflife 'Xen', without being too influenced by any of them. Nice work. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

Very cool. Also reminds me of a "piece" by Roberto Campus.
Looks really alien. Almost no traces of humanoid features. Great, man! |

Heh, people keep saying "Half-Life" when they see it- maybe I should play that someday, or maybe not (not a gamer, myself). I get most of my ideas, however, from my personal pastime of learning everything I can about the origins and mechanisms of vertebrate and invertebrate evolution, from which I can derive some ground rules (type of symmetry, type of segmentation pattern expressed in ontogeny, etc.) and extrapolate realistically according to an evolutionary environment of arbitrary determination. It's fun to play god. |

veeeery nice design and its interesting what you just said
one thing is that his face makes him look more "funy" than "evil", but maybe that wasn't important. _________________ portfolio | art blog |
