It took an hour, so I don't know if it qualifies as a 'speed painting'.
Did it for DSG.

Capt. Fred: Hey, thanks!
Matthew: Yeah, I had to do something else =) Not that successful, I need my soft values to get where I want to, but still a lot of fun. Thanks!
wasssup: Thank you! Listen, your work is amazing. You have to get yourself an online gallery right away!
HPX: I'm a huge fan of your work, especially the last ones - very inspirational! I respect a dude who paints with his balls

wow isric hsame to be after your post
sorry to spooge obiously you can se that this is a spooge inspired pic, It's just that I'm learning to paint girls and this way is actually the easiest way to paint them! I like the classic girl with long skirts and dresses,
I found a girl in a dress on the net that I used as reference, I hope she's a nice girl hehehe

Wow, I get to post right after Isric and Flushgarden.
Isric: Those are great. I really like the "We're out of potatoes" guy. Funny, too.
Capt. Flushgarden: Beautiful! I do see the spooginess of it, but I think you managed to make your own. Where did you find the reference for the girl? I agree with what you said about the classic girl. I'd love to find some references like what you have here.
And now, here's mine. I apologize if you look at mine immediately after looking at Isric's or Flush's work. Used a reference from(surprise, surprise) Pirates of the Caribbean. I've been in a pirate mindset for the last few weeks.

biglebowsky: whoa... awesome execution on the water and on the tree... You manage to get all the detail in there, without having to use many brush strokes. It's rough, yet finished... Reminds me of Sargent's watercolours. |
