Hello, I'm from germany and I like nine inch nails =) Yah, I know they suck and their music sucks even more. But I like them. And now I ask you what kind of bands are out there that make similar music? Maybe even music that doesn't suck? |

Trent did great on Pretty Hate Machine, then it's a downward spiral from there(no pun intended).
For kickass industrial, try Pig. Trent is a fan of Pig(A.K.A. Raymond Watts).
The second album from Machines of Loving Grace is quite good too.
Also, the first 3 albums from Stabbing Westward are pretty good.
BTW, the tone you wrote this post in sounded like you are a newbie? Weird. Maybe because you began with, "I'm from germany..."? |

Thanks for your music-suggestions, mister! Well, the tone I wrote this post in was supposed to be cynical. To obviate comments like: "Uh, Trent Reznor sucks ass! Screw you!" I've seen a couple of Reznor videos and I agree that they are pretty wierd. But hey, I like the music (march of the pigs/ruiner/downward spiral etc) I can't tell too much about the lyrics, cause I'm from germany =). And talking about newbies. I'm a newbie to this kind of music. I didn't even know that it's called industrial (goth music?). I always liked other music better (ska/punk etc).
Anyways. Thanks for your thoughts. I'll try Stabbing Westward and Pig. |

Yeah. They're cool...not that I have anything to do with them. No. Not at all. I just worship that main guy. He gets me all hot and bothered. I think we should all offer him sexual favors and buy him happy meals. Yes. You will send him money and worship him. |

Hamster-- Dude, POPWER fucking ROCKED!! You're the MAN! What was your guitar setup?
Sexy had potential, but I was expecting some great improve solo stuff, and it didn't happen. It aint jazz without it.
I need to make my stuff into mp3 and post them too. |

NIN sucks??!!!! I agree that he has gone softer over the years. But lyrically he is still one of the best. At least the man hasn't sold out like so many other bands out there... |

as hard as i try, i can't find too many good things about reznor's music..
further away/closer to god disc 1 wins though. especially precursor and internal. |

Hi Saab
hm, I love Nin and I have searched long time to find something like this and
Metal is different, aggressiv Industrial like that makes Pitchshifter.
Not very famous, especially in Germany, but I have seen them on Viva II, look on
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00004T9V9/qid=1011024786/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_83_1/002-2445270-5916848
Playtip, Hidden agenda, its not Reznor but it its very good, but u have to take time to like it
Not sure if you get it in SATURN...
Where are you from?
I mean where from Hamburg...? |
