These are 3 paintings I recently did to get some practice on painter.

This one is the coloring of a drawing I did in school, I'd appreciate some critiques on semi-completed portions.

This here is just a drawing I did in flash while I was bored and I decided to see how it looked colored. I kinda wanted to experiment with a really exagerrated pose.

And here's another hulk, this one was done entirely on painter, and I think I need to touch up some of the shadows and shine. I wanted the picture to have a lot energy and show the hulk as a bad-ass, not sure if I succeeded or not.

Any and all comments are welcome, and I'll have updates soon.

Also I'd like to know what tools you guys use in painter, the only ones I know how to use are the Fine Point Marker, and the Airbrush. And I can't help but think that maybe I could make better paintings if I had more variety in tools.

No crits. I just wanted to say that WOOW I love those poses, especially that red guys!! Shocked I wish I could draw those kind of cool poses. I'll Stare the pic for an hour now. Razz About the coloring, maybe you still should try to use pure black less? Dunno, maybe replace it with some lighter colors ? Anyway great paintings.

I've been trying to replace the black a bit and added some shading to the back and abs also added details to the teeth. C'mon if no one responds I'll assume it's because it's so horribly screwed up that you don't know how to help me.

try some different green colors, like mixing a bit bleu-green in the painting.

and paint on a colored canvas it helps Smile

just try mixing in more colors, it would give a new dimension to the piece.

I like the last one a lot if u could clean the image some more that one would rock!!!!
The other ones look fine in anothomy and the composition look fine, but...

First tip: dont use so many black it make the image look kinda dirty, use instead dark colors, usually a dark complemetary color works well for shading.
so insted of pure black u can use a very very dark red.
A very dark blue works for the most intense shadows and some more variations on greens for the middel tones would be fine.
mix it all and the image will look better, make some experimets Very Happy
also try using more hard brushs ti all look too smugdy
