I've been developing a PHP based website generating program designed for artists and photographers, or anyone needing to display many and varied amounts of images on the Internet. I'm just getting the beta together and would like to find some testers.
My site at eyewoo.com is completely running under the current beta version. Check it out if you have a chance.
If interested, example screens and more info about the system can be seen at eyewoo.net

Nice work Eyewoo! Your site is easy to navigate and steamlined as even your image intensive pages load in seconds! I hope you get the Beta testers you need.
Keep us updated with its progress. |

Hey... thanks for the encouragement... This is a project that has grown quite a bit larger than I originally intended... Haven't had time to do any artwork for weeks...
I'm updating the beta to version 2 (hopefully for the last time for the beta) so that the PHP engine for building websites will allow for rollover graphics on the navigation menu as well as text. Then it could easily be used to build much more compelling graphical interfaces. For example, a site like Feng Zhu's would be a snap... ...the site design, that is... his artwork -- well, not possible to create with a PHP engine, eh! _________________ HonePie.com

Yeah very impressive eyewoo, I didnt know that you built your own engine and all for your site. I really like your site so the stuff looks good.
Not sure about the php support on my site, something I have to check up but how much is the beta or finished version gonna cost?
keep it up

ahum hi,
I'm searching for this kind of system for a very long time.
but I have ZERO php knowlege.
I just want to upload my art very quickly and simple, and check some stats.
My site is hosted at my friends site, he does allot with php so I think its compatible, you can reach his site here:http://www.madclan.nl
and my site: http://www.madclan.nl/davidkulen
so If I can enter the beta, it would be great.

Matthew... The beta and future site updates are free to beta testers when they participate in the beta testing. ...not sure of the cost yet, but will probably have a modest introductory price.
merlyns... Knowing PHP is totally not necessary. Being able to upload art quickly and simply and keep track of stats is what the program is all ablout. It will run fine in your subdirectory on your friends server. You will need to know some basic HTML to set your website UI up... other than that you just have to know how to FTP to your site. The PHP on your friends server must be PHP version 4 or better and be fully implemented so that files and subdirectories can be created and renamed.
The first beta version is done. It is designed to use HTML text on the navigation menu - text that you can totally customize. However, I am a day or two away from the next version which will also allow for graphic rollovers on the navigation menu(graphics that change when the cursor pass over them). So... if you just need text navigation, that beta is ready. If you want to build a more complex site with graphic rollovers, then wait a bit - probably next week.
Let me know... [email protected] _________________ HonePie.com

Apparently Tzan wrote a message, submitted it and then saw that I was asking for email to [email protected]... so, he rewrote the message in an email to me and then deleted his forum entry... That's what happened...
It does look odd though... I saw it before his email and also wondered what it meant...??? Fortunately the email supplied the answer.
I find that happens often - people leaving messages in a public forum that make perfect sense to them, but make little sense out of context... Oh, well... such is the way it is with this marvelous technology... _________________ HonePie.com

yea I wondered over that post too, it is a strange language this digital way.
Also irony can be hard to tell sometimes and without the smileys it would be impossible to know if the person means something in a good way or a bad way.
I thought Tzan deleted something on his site to make it possible to download your beta, crazy how you try to conclusion something when you really didnt know what he meant.
hehe, keep the digital scripts alive. :)
see you

ooops... as of sometime between 3:00 and 4:00 pm East Coast Time, USA, the server on which my introduction for the software resides is down.... The host is not sure how many minutes.... or hours it will take to get it back up... Another characteristic of this amazing technology - being so dependant on people who you have know (sic) idea who they are...
Oh well.... shouldn't be down tooooo long.... hopefully...
EDIT: Next morning at 9:00 am -- The server was up for awhile, but its now back down. jeeezsh!!!! I'm going to see if I can get my account moved to another server.... _________________ HonePie.com
