Great illustrations, nice color works. I like the first one the best, very cool texture on the rocks, and the sky looks very cool. |

Hey SpaceMonkey, welcome to Sijun. You're doing fine, and I'm sure you're enjoy your stay here. On the first pic, be careful with the anatomy. His legs look like they're vastly different lengths. Second one's cool, nice hand. Be careful again with the anatomy, and try rendering the flesh more smoothly-its fairly mottled at the moment. I would say the third is the most successful, everything seems well rendered. I would add more bounced light, and render in the shadows more. Whenever an image has too much black in it, it gives the impression of hiding a lack of detail, so don't be afraid to bring it out via highlights and reflected light! Nicely done, keep it up, and we'll see you again _________________ -Anthony

Hey, thanks for the crit, Anthony. You're right, the third one does look very dark - it looks brighter in Photoshop. Here it is again with less black. By he way, I checked out your site. Do you model your backgrounds in 3D and then paint over them or are they painted straight in Photoshop?

Yes, looks better now. :] For the 2d/3d BG thing, a little of both my friend, it depends on the image. _________________ -Anthony
