I'm initially happy with this portrait, but I still want to make it better. I'm trying to make the girl look 'real', but have yet to accomplish this. Is there some technique I'm not using?

there is no "technique"..it's just gonna take old fashioned detail... the sparkelr in her eys seem a bit bright...

The trick to this I am slowly finding out is inperfection, her skin is to perfect, and so on. Give her a blemish here and there, ever so slight variations in skin complextion and so on. At least it seems to have worked for other people Smile

maybe get some more color in there (more reds, yellows, pinks) to make it look like shes lookiin at a sunset or somethin cuase right now i cant tell what shes lookin at. Maybe get a little more contrast in there? I dunno, but i like it so far.
