Well Klash - it's kind of hard to really give an assessment without knowing what you want delivered. Movak is highend - there's a lot of consideration into that site. 3 Hours of work? I think your underestimating a bit there, but like I said a content outline that the site architecture is based on would give a better idea of how long it would take. If you want Flash, like Movak, three hours is a no go.
Designers, myself included, are going to charge anywhere from $50 an hour to $125 an hour, so be advised! _________________ - Tom Carter

Hey thank you for your advise and i'll take it as it comes. I know webdesigners charge pretty high, but i'm ready to hand out my bills. I would like it all flash if possible. Argg that's going to be alot eh? hehe maybe i'll think about learning that stuff myself!
Hey what about, if i provide everything and you guys just do coding put it together speaking? Would that make it less?
Have you guys looked at 2advance.com awesome site. _________________ The strength of your skills magnifies with every minute of practice |

Let me know some more details and I may be interested. Are you willing to hire an overseas designer? I'm currently in Australia. |

I will design all your graphics for your website for free if you can build a PHP/SQL backend for my website. If this sounds like a fair trade please email me at

My company (just me), can build you a whole website with flash like the site you referred to. But I would think twice before choosing flash as main medium because it is hard to update in a simple and effective way.
I think you are starting in the wrong end, focusing how you would like the product to be not how and why you should develop it.
My price is 500kr/hour (50/hour). And I can do everything from design to programming.
The best way is to agree on fixed price for the whole deal.
Cheney: Maybe we could do a trade. I do the php/sql thing for you and you do graphics for me? _________________ Beeing evil as usual... |

Wow, your right. Maybe i should do a simple layout of the site with
dreamweaver. Hey i know a bit, but what i don't know is how to put it
all together. Maybe we can work something out. I do graphic design
(Desktop Publishing) Mostly print work, if you would like me to
reinvent your logo or create a new one let me know i can make you a
brochure and a whole stationary, depending on what you need? You
never know we might end up working together on future projects. Just
let me know what you need as far a design goes. I'll start sketching
my concept together for my site and i'll start gathering information
for display. Thank you alot for your interest in working with us.
To all others who have emailed me thank you as well, i have looked at my options and they are plenty full there is a wide range of talent in this forum and i'm really glad i post it here. _________________ The strength of your skills magnifies with every minute of practice |

I have no problem designing my own logo. I like crits on my new logo though. Need illustrations mostly. But thanks for the offer anyway.
But if you like I can guide you in the process of making a site. For free. There are just a few differences between screen publishing and desktop publishing. But they are very important. The biggest difference between the internet and normal media is that the information needs to be alive and up to date.
With your background with desktop publishing dreamweaver is a good choice. It is simple to use, but you'll need to learn some basic HTML and CSS as well. www.w3schools.com
If you have ICQ add me to your list! _________________ Beeing evil as usual... |
