And boy, it's gonna be good. Switching to the Adobe-stylee control palette was just genius.

I will tell you just two features that have been asked since long before:

The mixer: Simply amazing. It has a lot of features that allow you to work as with a real palette.

The new Info window. Now it updates your pic in real time (similar to PS's New View), so you can be zoomed to 1000%, while watching the entire canvas in this small window.

Just to finish: forget the famous Painter's lag while stroking with feathered brushes. It's all gone.

Painter 7 is my fav but the layout isn)t that great and a photoshop layout would be great.

I was actually surprised at how RELATIVLY inexpensive it is compared to a lot of the other programs out there. never too much of a painter fan, but i'll probalby try 8 as well.
